Hubei Province has introduced a "Five Major Actions" plan for forestry

    On June 20th, the Forestry Bureau of Hubei Province issued the "Action Plan for Vigorously Promoting the Practice of Forestry in Hubei for Chinese-Style Modernization".    

    The Plan proposes to focus on the scientific afforestation and greening, the legalization of resource management and protection, the specialization of industrial development, the coordination of reform and innovation, and the efficiency of supervision and governance. It will deeply implement the "Five Major Actions" for forestry, promote the high-level protection and high-quality development of forestry in a coordinated manner, and provide forestry support for the vigorous advancement of the Hubei practice of Chinese-style modernization and the accelerated establishment of an important strategic support point for the rise of the central region.

    First, we should take the outline of the Comprehensive management and coordinated development plan for river basins as the guiding principle, carry out the action to enhance land greening, scientifically promote land greening, implement the precise improvement project of forest quality, enhance the carbon sequestration capacity of forests, and high-quality promote the greening and beautification of urban and rural areas. We should deepen the foundation of a beautiful Hubei and jointly create a beautiful environment and a happy life.

     Second, we will adhere to the principle of "jointly strengthening protection and not engaging in large-scale development", implement the resource management and protection capacity enhancement action, carry out classified and graded protection of forest land, accelerate the construction of the nature reserve system, enhance the protection of wild animals, plants and wetlands, improve the efficiency of forest fire prevention and pest control, hold the bottom line of forestry ecological security, and steadily promote high-level protection and high-quality development.

    Third, we must adhere to the people-centered development philosophy, firmly grasp the essential requirements of Chinese-style modernization, take the people's aspiration for a better life as the goal of our efforts, implement the action to improve the quality of industrial development, promote the quality and efficiency improvement of industries such as Camellia oleifera, drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional forestry industries, vigorously develop the economy under the forest, actively cultivate emerging forestry industries, and enhance the ecological benefits of forestry for the people.
